Gratitude. Many of us get so focused on our day-to-day business operations and personal activities we forget to be happy with all we have. This week, as our thoughts turn towards Thanksgiving (and as we see the unrest in much of the world around us) we’re probably reflecting on the many freedoms and joys we have in our lives. It IS, after all, what this holiday is all about. (In addition to, of course, spending time with the family, eating too much turkey and watching football.)
As we strive to be happy with what we have, we should still be working toward our future with our goals in mind. This time of year can be a busy time for many of us with Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and #GivingTuesday. Whether you’re in sales, customer relations or operations, you’re probably focusing on ways to end the year with a bang, make your projections come true, and face 2016 with momentum.
During this time of year, it’s time to first and foremost, thank those who have helped make 2015 great. It’s also time to revisit your year-end plan and narrow your focus. Work hard to ensure you spend the last month of the year on a high note. Reflect on your blessings and fortunes this year, and use them to propel you forward through this holiday season (and through your turkey-induced nap)!

- As you review your goals, plot out your end-of-year plan on a marketing calendar. Review your budget, activity and milestones. Plan your content and make sure December is set up to power you through the end of the year.
- When you look ahead to next year, it’s time to ask if you’re ready to hit the ground running. How’s your strategic planning going for 2016? Is your website mobile ready? How’s your SEO strategy lookin’? Now’s the time to get the ball rolling forward.
