Content is king. Have you heard this buzz phrase?

Content marketing: you know big brands are doing it. You know it is good for SEO and building client relationships. Are you asking yourself “What’s the Difference Between Content Marketing and Copywriting?” The folks over at Copyblogger explain:

Content marketing is blogs, white papers, and viral video.
Copywriting is sales pages, infomercials, and direct mail.
Two different critters, right?
Well, not if you’re doing it right.

The question is: are you doing it right? Does your content suck?
Everything worthwhile takes practice. I found this Ira Glass video inspiring:

Close the Gap | An inspiring post on Content Marketing...How do you feel about your content marketing? Did his words resonate with you? Does your content sound like what Ira Glass is describing below?

It has ambition to be good, but it’s not quite that good. But your taste, your taste is still killer. And your taste is good enough that you can tell that what you’re making is kind of a disappointment to you.

If you feel that your content is not where you want it to be, if it is falling short, consider working with Cultivate. We can help polish your creative and take it to the next level.

Be inspired rather than defeated. Even if you work with professional marketers and copywriters, as a small-business owner the most important thing you can do is keep writing. Review the edit notes from the revised content and learn from your copywriter!

Close that gap,
